When talking to the renter ask about the condition of the condo such as what is the condition of the appliances has the flooring been updated how old are the beds and so on.  You will want to make sure the condo is setup with everything you need such as everything you will need for making meals, clean towels, beach chairs and loungers, beach toys for the kids an umbrella is nice to setup by the water.  If you like swimming in a pool you might want to take that into consideration you will want to ask if the pool is heated or not.  You will also want to check what kind of shopping and restaurants are nearby.  Many Gulf Coast beaches have great fresh seafood restaurants and also fun entertainment for the family such as putt putt golf.  To help you get around you will find the Beach Trolley it is an inexpensive, fun, easy, and convenient way to get around. The Suncoast Beach Trolley runs from Clearwater Beach (north), to Pass-A-Grille (south), and stops at specially marked “Trolley Stop” locations along the entire Gulf Blvd. route (except Belleair Beach and Belleair Shores). The Beach Trolley picks-up passengers every 20 to 30 minutes, from 5:05 a.m. to 10:10 p.m., Monday through Sunday (including holidays), with service until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Ask for lots of pictures of the condo and the beach in front to make sure it suits your needs.  Make sure you bring lots of sunscreen and a beach hat as the sun in Florida is very strong.
